4What this site does
This site is an online shop selling decorative paints, wood care products, colour cards and application accessories, together with related services: colour advice, samples and a room visualiser.
Prices are shown in euros inclusive of tax and exclusive of delivery, which is stated before you finally confirm an order. The terms of sale themselves - ordering, payment, delivery, right of withdrawal, and the statutory guarantees of conformity and against hidden defects - are governed by our terms and conditions of sale, which prevail over this page on anything to do with a purchase.
5Intellectual property
Everything making up this site - text, photographs, illustrations, colour cards, colour names and references, video, layout, visual identity, source code - is protected by intellectual property law and remains the property of the publisher, of the house of Mylands, or of their respective partners.
The Mylands trade mark, its logotypes and its collection names are protected marks. This site uses them under licence; nothing here may be read as conferring any right over those signs on a third party.
You may view, print and save this content for your own private use, including to plan a decorating project. Any other use - reproduction, distribution, adaptation, commercial exploitation, or systematic extraction of the colour database, including by automated means - requires our prior written permission.
You are free to link to this site, provided the link creates no confusion as to the origin of the content, does not open our pages within the frame of another site, and does not come from content contrary to public order. We may ask for the removal of any link that does not meet these conditions.
6The room visualiser and the content you upload
The visualiser lets you upload a photograph of your home and apply our colours to it virtually. It is offered free of charge as an aid to choosing, and using it means accepting the rules below.
What you warrant
By uploading an image you confirm that you have the rights to do so. In practice: that you took it or are authorised to use it, and that anyone identifiable in the photograph has agreed to appear in it. You undertake not to upload any content that is unlawful, violent, pornographic, invasive of someone else's privacy, or protected by a right you do not hold.
What you authorise us to do
You grant us, free of charge and only for as long as the service requires, the right to host your image, resize it, send it to our automatic surface-detection provider and return a coloured version of it to you. That authorisation is strictly limited to operating the visualiser: we acquire no commercial, advertising or promotional rights over your photographs, and we do not use them to train any model. The full description of the processing, including the transfer outside the European Union it involves, is in our privacy policy.
Sharing
The visualiser can generate a link or a QR code that brings your project back up. That link works for anyone who holds it: circulating it is your responsibility alone.
Moderation and deletion
We reserve the right to delete without notice any image that is manifestly unlawful or contrary to the rules above, and to suspend access to the service where it is abused. You for your part can delete your rooms at any time from your account, or ask us to at privacy@mylands.fr.
7How colours appear
A point that matters rather a lot at a paint company. The colours shown on this site - colour card swatches, room photography, visualiser simulations - are representations on a screen. How they look depends on your screen, its calibration, its colour profile and the light in the room you are sitting in, none of which we can control.
These representations cannot therefore be taken as a faithful reproduction of the colour as actually applied, and they carry no contractual force as to the shade. The final result also depends on the substrate, the undercoat, the number of coats and the finish chosen.
Before committing, we always recommend ordering a sample and looking at it in place, at different times of day. That is exactly what our sample pots and colour cards are for.
8Personal data and cookies
The processing of personal data collected on this site is described in full in our privacy policy: purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods, transfers outside the European Union and how to exercise your rights.
The trackers placed on your device, and how to accept or refuse them, are detailed in our cookie policy.
For any request about your data: privacy@mylands.fr.
9Liability
We take great care over the accuracy of what we publish: product descriptions, coverage rates, drying times, application advice. That information is given for guidance and does not replace reading the product's technical data sheet and the wording on its packaging, which prevail.
Application advice published on this site cannot account for the particular condition of your surfaces. It does not engage our liability where the result falls short of your expectations, in particular where the surface has not been suitably prepared.
We work to keep the site available at all times without being able to guarantee it: an interruption may result from maintenance, a fault, network congestion or force majeure. Such interruptions do not give rise to compensation.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites we link to, over which we exercise no control.
Nothing on this page operates to exclude the statutory guarantees of conformity and against hidden defects, or liability for defective products, which you enjoy as of right as a consumer.
10Consumer mediation
Under article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, every consumer has the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge to settle a dispute with a trader amicably.
Before referring a matter to the mediator, you must have tried to resolve it directly with our customer service team by means of a written complaint. Once you have, you may refer the matter to the following mediator:
- Mediator
- [TO BE COMPLETED]
- Address
- [TO BE COMPLETED]
- Online referral
- [TO BE COMPLETED]
The referral must be made within one year of your written complaint.
Please note: the European online dispute resolution platform, which many sites still link to, closed permanently on 20 July 2025. The mediator named above is the route to use.
11Reporting unlawful content
If you believe content published on this site is unlawful, you can report it to us at privacy@mylands.fr or by post to the publisher's address given above.
So that we can act on your report, please give the date, the exact address of the page concerned, a description of the content in question and the reasons why you believe it should be removed. We examine every report and promptly remove any manifestly unlawful content.
12Applicable law
This site and this notice are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, and where amicable resolution or mediation has failed, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you retain the option of bringing proceedings before the court for the place where you live, under article R.631-3 of the French Consumer Code, and you keep the protection of the law of your country of residence within the European Union.
