Warm, vibrant yellow paint
A welcoming yellow paint colour with warm red undertones, Haymarket is inspired by the historic market where farmers once sold their crops to Londoners. Reflecting this lively past, the colour captures the warmth, richness, and natural vibrancy associated with traditional market life while offering a refined interpretation suited to modern interiors.
The strong yellow base introduces clarity and brightness, while the warm red undertone adds depth and a subtle glow. This careful balance creates a yellow that feels vibrant yet grounded, with a warm, heritage-inspired character that brings energy to a space. The result is a colour that feels bold without being overwhelming, allowing it to work comfortably within both contemporary and traditional settings.
Bright and rich, Haymarket creates an inviting and energetic atmosphere when used as an interior wall paint, while when used as a kitchen paint, the layered undertone adds character. Warm, vibrant, and confident, Haymarket brings a rich sense of energy to interior spaces.

Colour lives with the light: it changes from room to room and from hour to hour. Testing before you paint is the decorator's secret - here's how to turn your sample pot into a truly reliable trial.
What's in your sample pot?
Every 100 ml pot contains genuine Mylands paint - the same natural pigments and the same depth of colour as the full-size tin - and covers over 1 m². That's enough for two coats over a generous test area, so you can judge the shade exactly as it will dress your walls.
Why test before you paint
Light changes everything
North- or south-facing, morning or evening, daylight or lamplight: the very same shade can read warmer, cooler, lighter or deeper. Only a trial in the room itself reveals its true character.
Your home is unique
Floors, joinery, fabrics and furniture all reflect into a colour and transform it. A sample shows how the shade converses with everything around it - not how it appears on a screen.
Choose with confidence
A few days of looking beat a room to repaint. A sample turns a gamble into certainty: you order the right colour, first time.
How to use your sample pot
Apply two coats
Paint a square at least 50 cm wide, directly onto the wall or onto a sheet of heavy paper you can move around. Two coats reveal the pigments' full depth; let it dry properly between coats.
Watch it morning, noon and night
Live with the colour for 24 to 48 hours. Look at it when you wake, in full daylight, then under lamplight: it's the whole family of faces that should win you over.
Move it and compare
If you painted onto cards or heavy paper, move them around: try them on several walls - beside the window, in a darker corner - and hold them against your floors, fabrics and woodwork. Test two or three neighbouring shades side by side to settle the choice.
The full method - three shades, boards rather than the wall, three times of day, the finish tested along with the colour - is in How to test a paint colour at home.

Product data & safety sheets
Every Mylands paint is water-based and contains only trace levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) - far below what regulations allow. In practice, that means very little odour while you paint, quick drying between coats, and brushes and rollers that rinse clean in warm soapy water, with no need for white spirit.
Once fully dry, the finish is certified to EN 71-3:2019, the European toy-safety standard, so it can be used with confidence in nurseries, children's bedrooms and playrooms - even on painted toys, cots and furniture - and in homes with pets.
As with any paint, keep the room well ventilated while you work and let surfaces dry completely before children and animals return.
Mylands water-based paints are among the gentler decorative finishes you can bring into a home, but the usual common-sense precautions still apply:
- Keep paint out of the reach of children and away from food and drink.
- Ventilate the room well during application and drying.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If paint gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
- If swallowed, rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water, then seek medical advice with the tin or label to hand.
- Like most water-based paints, the formulation contains small amounts of preservative, which may produce an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.
Store tins upright, tightly closed, somewhere cool and frost-free. Never pour leftover paint down the drain: allow residues to dry out, then take them - tin included - to your local household-waste collection point.
