Pale green paint
A gentle and calming pale green paint colour with warm umber undertones, Beauvais is based on a historic shade recorded in the 1930 Book of Colours and influenced by the rich palettes traditionally found in French tapestry. Reflecting this heritage, the colour carries a sense of quiet history and craftsmanship, offering a balanced green that feels both timeless and characterful.
The soft green base introduces a natural freshness, while the warm umber undertone adds depth and an earthy richness that grounds the colour. This gentle balance creates a colour with warmth and subtle complexity. The result is a versatile green that sits comfortably within both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Beauvais provides an elegant, classic look, maintaining the soft depth associated with traditional greens. When applied across walls in Marble Matt Emulsion for a breathable and durable finish, Beauvais provides a calm and balanced effect. Steeped in historical influence, Beauvais brings warmth and character to traditional and contemporary spaces.

Product data & safety sheets
Every Mylands paint is water-based and contains only trace levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) - far below what regulations allow. In practice, that means very little odour while you paint, quick drying between coats, and brushes and rollers that rinse clean in warm soapy water, with no need for white spirit.
Once fully dry, the finish is certified to EN 71-3:2019, the European toy-safety standard, so it can be used with confidence in nurseries, children's bedrooms and playrooms - even on painted toys, cots and furniture - and in homes with pets.
As with any paint, keep the room well ventilated while you work and let surfaces dry completely before children and animals return.
Mylands water-based paints are among the gentler decorative finishes you can bring into a home, but the usual common-sense precautions still apply:
- Keep paint out of the reach of children and away from food and drink.
- Ventilate the room well during application and drying.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If paint gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
- If swallowed, rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water, then seek medical advice with the tin or label to hand.
- Like most water-based paints, the formulation contains small amounts of preservative, which may produce an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.
Store tins upright, tightly closed, somewhere cool and frost-free. Never pour leftover paint down the drain: allow residues to dry out, then take them - tin included - to your local household-waste collection point.
