Light lilac paint
A light lilac paint colour with soft grey undertones, Early Lavender is a traditional colour that continues to retain a timeless popularity.
Gentle and understated, this colour evokes a natural sense of calmness. Its delicate lilac base recalls the softness of lavender blooms, while the addition of grey introduces a subtle restraint that lends the colour a more contemporary and refined character. This combination gives Early Lavender a soft, muted quality, allowing it to sit comfortably within both traditional and modern interiors. The colour offers warmth and subtle depth, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a sense of composure.
This quiet complexity ensures the colour remains soft and tranquil while still providing character and presence within a space. The gentle tone of Early Lavender promotes a sense of serenity and restfulness. Applied across walls in Marble Matt Emulsion, its soft lavender hue provides a warm and welcoming glow. Graceful and timeless, Early Lavender brings a serene atmosphere to both classic and contemporary interiors.

Product data & safety sheets
Every Mylands paint is water-based and contains only trace levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) - far below what regulations allow. In practice, that means very little odour while you paint, quick drying between coats, and brushes and rollers that rinse clean in warm soapy water, with no need for white spirit.
Once fully dry, the finish is certified to EN 71-3:2019, the European toy-safety standard, so it can be used with confidence in nurseries, children's bedrooms and playrooms - even on painted toys, cots and furniture - and in homes with pets.
As with any paint, keep the room well ventilated while you work and let surfaces dry completely before children and animals return.
Mylands water-based paints are among the gentler decorative finishes you can bring into a home, but the usual common-sense precautions still apply:
- Keep paint out of the reach of children and away from food and drink.
- Ventilate the room well during application and drying.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If paint gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
- If swallowed, rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water, then seek medical advice with the tin or label to hand.
- Like most water-based paints, the formulation contains small amounts of preservative, which may produce an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.
Store tins upright, tightly closed, somewhere cool and frost-free. Never pour leftover paint down the drain: allow residues to dry out, then take them - tin included - to your local household-waste collection point.
