Rich dark grey paint
A dark grey paint colour with subtle blue and red undertones, Leadenhall was originally created for an address close to one of London’s most evocative historic markets. Reflecting the character of its namesake, the colour carries a sense of architectural strength and quiet heritage, resulting in a shade with depth and presence.
The interplay of blue and red undertones introduces a nuanced complexity to the dark grey base. The blue lends a cool clarity, while the red brings a subtle warmth, creating a balanced shade that feels both grounded and sophisticated, giving Leadenhall a rich, layered character.
Extremely versatile, Leadenhall sits comfortably within both modern and period properties, where its depth provides a strong yet elegant foundation. The colour brings a sense of structure and composure to a space, enhancing architectural features while maintaining a timeless, understated quality. Used as a luxury interior wall paint, Leadenhall creates a dramatic atmosphere that adds richness and definition to interiors. Applied to woodwork, cabinetry, or panelling in Plant Based Multi Surface Matt, Eggshell or Gloss it highlights detailing with a confident presence. Rooted in the historic character of London, Leadenhall is a bold yet versatile dark neutral paint colour that brings depth and balance to interior spaces.

Product data & safety sheets
Every Mylands paint is water-based and contains only trace levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) - far below what regulations allow. In practice, that means very little odour while you paint, quick drying between coats, and brushes and rollers that rinse clean in warm soapy water, with no need for white spirit.
Once fully dry, the finish is certified to EN 71-3:2019, the European toy-safety standard, so it can be used with confidence in nurseries, children's bedrooms and playrooms - even on painted toys, cots and furniture - and in homes with pets.
As with any paint, keep the room well ventilated while you work and let surfaces dry completely before children and animals return.
Mylands water-based paints are among the gentler decorative finishes you can bring into a home, but the usual common-sense precautions still apply:
- Keep paint out of the reach of children and away from food and drink.
- Ventilate the room well during application and drying.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If paint gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
- If swallowed, rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water, then seek medical advice with the tin or label to hand.
- Like most water-based paints, the formulation contains small amounts of preservative, which may produce an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.
Store tins upright, tightly closed, somewhere cool and frost-free. Never pour leftover paint down the drain: allow residues to dry out, then take them - tin included - to your local household-waste collection point.
