Mylands is delighted to introduce the Summer 2024 colour palette, specially curated by Darcy Myland, one of the family members contributing to the heritage business. Darcy's palette is a selection of the sunny season's most captivating hues, inspired by sun-drenched landscapes, warm summer days and the trends currently prevalent in interiors.

Each shade evokes the essence of summertime, from the soft blush pinks of blooming flowers to the soothing powder blues of clear summer skies, promising to flood your living space with the joy, light and vibrancy only summer can bring. Celebrate the season with colours as lively and refreshing as a sunny day, and let your interiors shine with the brilliance of summer all year round. The palette features:

Floris™ No.27

Bring the essence of summer home with blush-pink décor, a perfect nod to the floral patterns that define the season; this delicate hue effortlessly channels a summery feeling indoors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Floris™ No.27 is a pretty, sophisticated paint whose blush tone is perfect for an appealingly romantic room, using an absorbing umber shade to bring depth and beauty for a soft hue that is never overpowering, and the softness of blush pink avoids an oversaturated look while still creating fresh, vibrant interiors.

Egerton Place™ No.297

Infuse your home with the warmth and subtle elegance of summer through earthy pink tones; inspired by natural elements, these hues provide a sophisticated, soothing ambience that perfectly complements the sunny season. Egerton Place™ No.297 is a deep, earthy mushroom pink of umber and red with a touch of black; earthy pinks, with their muted, natural undertones, feel grounded yet vibrant, bringing a touch of nature indoors for a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both fresh and timeless. Use an earthy pink on the walls for a cosy, welcoming space, complemented by neutral furniture and natural textures like wood and linen for a harmonious look.

Greenstone™ No.190

Grey-green hues exude a calming effect that's perfect for a serene, tranquil atmosphere, a zen-like quality that fosters the relaxation and peace ideal for leisurely summer days. Greenstone™ No.190 is a truly modern grey-green with an intensely calming effect, natural and unique with turquoise undertones; it reflects natural light beautifully, making rooms feel brighter and more spacious, the interplay of light with its soft, calming tones creating a soothing, inviting environment perfect for summer.

Morning Blue™ No.32

Powder blues are ever more popular; their tone pairs with many colours, shifting the personality of a room between pairings. Morning Blue™ No.32 is a calming light blue resembling morning light, with a cheerful, tranquil quality, its light appearance creating a comforting ambience paired with white, while a hint of magenta and umber gives it an alluring depth that suits a wide variety of settings. Powder blues have a light, airy quality that makes spaces feel open and spacious, particularly valuable in summer when you want to maximise natural light and create a cool, breezy environment.

Hoxton Grey™ No.72

No summer palette would be complete without a soft, warm, timeless neutral; in summer, earthy warm neutrals provide the perfect backdrop, creating a light, airy feel and bringing the outdoors in. Hoxton Grey has deep, warm umber and brown undertones, a pale neutral grey with a warming, calming aura, a mid-grey with a lot of depth and hints of violet; the blend of umber and brown creates a warm, soothing atmosphere, essential for keeping interiors cosy and inviting in summer, when rooms can sometimes feel too stark or bright.

Warm off-whites have become one of 2024's biggest interior trends, not too stark, so they contrast against other colours and allow a welcoming atmosphere. Belgravia™ No.6 is a crisp white with a warmth reflective of summer sun-rays on your face as you step outdoors; perfectly light and airy, warm off-whites help brighten spaces, evoking the sunny, cheerful essence of the season while creating a fresh, inviting environment indoors without being overpowering.
