Ideas & inspiration: the Beata Heuman collection
Composed with the Swedish-born, London-based decorator, the Beata Heuman collection is joyful and precise at once: candid, charming shades meant to be lived with rather than admired.
Here are our schemes composed from her palette — from the softest white to Swedish forest greens.
“Colours with wit: you find yourself smiling as you choose them.”
The colours of the Beata Heuman collection
The Beata Heuman collection is short and deliberately personal: twenty-three shades chosen by the decorator, holding both a Swedish softness and a very London taste for candid colour. It is a palette that marries remarkably well with itself — two or three of these shades in a room are enough to compose a complete scheme.
The greens are its heart: Forest BH.16, the deep forest green leading several of our living-room schemes; Damp Leaf BH.14, quieter and softer; Glass BH.09, barely tinted and lovely in a bedroom; with Artichoke BH.13 between the two. Boiled Dill BH.22 bridges towards the yellow-greens.
On the warm side, Cigar BH.20 and London Brick BH.07 bring tobacco and terracotta, Henna BH.18 and Crayfish Party BH.19 the reds and corals, Butter BH.21 and Wheatsheaf BH.23 the soft yellows. For grounds: Beata White BH.01, Chalk BH.02, Lamb's Ear BH.06 and Old Man's Beard BH.03, then the deeper greys Overall BH.10, Uncle Maths BH.05 and Thunder BH.12. Pub BH.08 and Stockholm BH.11 complete the palette in green-black and porcelain blue.
