Ideas & inspiration: the FTT collection
FTT stands for Film, Theatre & Television: the colours we have formulated for London's studios and stages for decades, from brushed golds to the most candid pigments.
Here is how we wear them at home: in measured theatrical touches — an alcove wall, a ceiling, a door — that catch the light like a film set.
“Colours born for the camera: they know how to hold the light.”
The colours of the FTT collection
FTT — Film, Theatre & Television — gathers the colours we have formulated for London's studios and stages for decades. The pigments are more concentrated than in the rest of the range, made to hold under stage lighting: at home that translates into shades which keep their identity even as the light drops.
The deep greens and blues are the most-used part of it: Deep Green FTT-012 and CSO Green FTT-011 lead several of our darkest schemes, Dark Green FTT-013 pushes to a near-black green, and Midnight FTT-017, Ultramarine Blue FTT-018 and Wedgwood FTT-016 cover the whole distance between porcelain and night. Ultra Violet FTT-019 and Fluorite Violet FTT-020 tip the palette into violet.
Candid colour is the collection's other signature: Shocking Pink FTT-006, Magenta FTT-007, French Rose FTT-005, Bright Red FTT-009, Vermillion FTT-010 and Mid Chrome FTT-008 — to be measured onto a door, panelling or an alcove. For grounds, Iron Grey FTT-014 and Raw Umber FTT-015 give superb deep greys.
The collection also holds our four metallics: Rich Gold FTT-001, Pale Gold FTT-002, Pale Bronze FTT-003 and Silver FTT-004. See also our metallic paint ideas, green paint ideas and pinks and lilacs, or browse the whole FTT collection.
