Inside Melton Hall

Melton Hall's richly pigmented spaces are decorated in a considered palette of our silky neutrals and glossy jewel tones. The house, in Suffolk, stands as one of the county's most historic and distinctive private homes, recently reimagined for modern living through an array of colour.

Set on the edge of Woodbridge, the home sits moments from Suffolk's heritage coast, offering a beautiful balance of countryside calm and coastal living, where light, landscape and colour blend together.

Throughout the house, an array of Mylands colours has been thoughtfully applied, creating a cohesive flow from room to room while letting each space keep its own distinct character.

A regal dining room

Here the dining room wears the bold Dulwich Red, inspired by Sir John Soane's 'Pompeian Red' from his library, a fitting and historically rich choice that brings depth and architectural drama, wrapping the room in a grand sense of deep warmth.

The result is a setting that feels both intimate and visually striking, the colour becoming the defining feature, enhancing the room's proportions and atmosphere.

Feature points

Woodwork, doors and archways in Blackout™ No.41

Used along the interconnecting hallways, Blackout™ No.41 introduces a confident, structural contrast against the home's softer walls and natural wood tones; immersive within the space, it brings definition and rhythm to these transitional areas, so the hallway feels intentional and elevated, light, shadow and colour working together to create a gravity that guides you seamlessly from one space to the next.

A bathroom retreat

This first bathroom is vibrant and unique; FTT-011™ has a beautiful tropical feel, reminiscent of the rainforest, and this popping green wraps the room in energy and escape, transforming it into something immersive and unexpected.

Balanced by clean lines and a considered finish, the shade feels both expressive and refined, building a space layered in personality and quiet drama.

This aged yellow provides a modern, muted, fresh look to the home office; its citrus undertones bring a subtle brightness that lifts the room with clarity and delicate warmth.

Balanced and contemporary, Cornhill™ No.128 feels energising without being overpowering, an ideal working environment, and by enhancing the natural light through the day, the space feels focused and optimistic, perfect for productivity and calm.
